solberga: An Interactive Stellar Spectrum and Line List Plotter

File Formats

1. Spectrum file: 2-3 column ASCII file with wavelength [Å], intensity, (optional) error bars
2. Line list: VALD3 extract stellar short format (.lin extension)

Navigation & Display

• Mouse: Pan, zoom, and navigate the spectrum
• Toolbar: Standard matplotlib navigation (home, back, forward, zoom, pan)

Region Selection

• 'w': Enter selection mode (drag to select wavelength regions)
• 'd': Enter deletion mode (click on regions to remove them)
• 'c': Clear all selected regions
• 'e': Export selected regions to file
• 'l': Load regions from file
• 'Escape': Return to normal navigation mode

Visual Feedback

• Status bar: Shows current mode (Normal/Selection/Delete) and region count
• Color coding: Green (normal), Orange (selecting), Red (deleting)

solberga means "sun mountain" in Swedish. Many places bear this name, including a district in Stockholm.
